Crisscrossing Digital & Analog Workshops
In this lecture we present a series of projects that we call Crisscross Workshops – the goal of crisscross is to prime students to move fluidly between analog and digital ways of making.
This teaching approach uses skill-based, in-class-only, and fun satellite exercises that crisscross between analog and digital making. The lecture uses the Human Centered Design "Designer's Desk Project" created for MassArt's Communication Design Sophomore Studio course.
"Designer's Desk Project" was created in 2019 and the "Crisscrossing" lecture was given at the 2021 FATE Conference, both with Assistant Professor Sofie Hodara.
